Frank Millard & Company, Inc. achieves ISO 9001:2015 Registration
Burlington, Iowa – Frank Millard & Company, Inc. a 156-year-old Industrial, Sheet Metal, Mechanical Piping, Electrical, Machine Shop and General Construction Company based in Burlington, Iowa is pleased to announce they have obtained the ISO 9001:2015 registration of their Quality Management System for their Burlington, Iowa fabrication facility.
Specifically, the ISO Registration of its Quality Management System that includes the following scope, “Design and Fabrication of Sheet Metal, Piping, Light Structural Steel and Precision Machined Parts and Assemblies”. The registration covers items manufactured in the Frank Millard Sheet Metal, Pipe and Machine Shops.

Frank Millard & Company’s ISO Quality team consists of members from Management, Purchasing, Safety, in addition to the Sheet Metal, Piping and Machine Shop departments. Their quality team worked tirelessly to develop and roll out a complete quality control system to support Frank Millard & Company’s staff and customers. The new quality system established a series of detailed procedures that allow them to maintain a high quality standard from the very beginning of project, through product design, material procurement, shop fabrication, and the final inspection process. In addition to detailed procedures, ISO Certification requires them to maintain exhaustive training standards with all fabrication shop employees. Upon the completion of the new quality management system, the company trained all of its shop employees on the detailed procedures required for the fabrication shop quality standard, then to support the training effort, completed internal audits as well as facilitated audits conducted by independent ISO contractors , as required to receive their initial certification. Going forward ISO requires them to have annual audits, including documentation reviews, Quality Objective Tracking, and a Continuous Improvement process, to maintain their registration and our quality standard.

With our recently expanded Burlington shop, we now have over 40,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art fabrication space with the latest in cutting edge fabrication equipment coupled with a team of highly skilled craftsman. We did so because we want to be the go-to fabrication company for all our industrial clients”.
